The AEGIS SGR Bearing Protection Ring from Electro Static Technology can now be installed quickly and easily with conductive epoxy, eliminating the need to drill bracket holes in the motor’s end bell. For motors controlled by variable frequency drives (VFDs), the SGR channels harmful motor-shaft currents away from bearings and safely to ground, protecting them and extending their lives for a sustainable “green” solution. Installation of the SGR, whether by the motor manufacturer or end user, takes just minutes.  Unlike conventional grounding brushes, the ring is maintenance-free and works with virtually no friction or wear for the service life of the motor. 

Carlo Gavazzi launches the HAA08 (2-pole) and HAA14, (4-pole) multi-function Mini-Timers. These 21.5 x 28mm timers feature a 24-240VAC/DC universal power supply and are mounted in a DIN-rail adaptable blade-type relay socket. The new softstarter was created as an all encompassing electronic solution that can replace traditional Star-Delta (Wye-Delta) motor starters.

Carlo Gavazzi introduces its new line of mid-range IEC contactors, overloads and accessories. The GC Series Contactors are available in four frame sizes, ranging from 25 Amps to 140 Amps (up to 75 Hp at 460VAC). Contactors are available with a wide selection of AC and DC coil voltages, choice of screw or lug terminals on larger contactors, dual coil terminals for easy looping and at least one auxiliary contact. The contactor’s coil is easily changed in the event an emergency shipment with a non-standard voltage is required. There is also a new mechanical interlock unit for reversing contactor sets, which also includes auxiliary contacts for electrical interlocking.

Matching GT Series Bimetallic Overloads provide class 10 trip protection for motor loads. Standard features include a set of auxiliary contacts, test button and manual or automatic reset direct mounting or optional separate mounting bracket.

The new GC Series Contactors were designed to complement Carlo Gavazzi’s existing line of GMS Manual Motor Starters. Direct link adapters and rigid back plates provide a seamless means of connecting the GC Series Contactors to the GMS Series Manual Starters.

All Carlo Gavazzi contactors, overloads and manual motor starters are covered by a two year warranty, and are CE and RoHs certified, UL and CSA listed . The GC Series Contactors are also CSA approved for elevator applications.
