E-Mon, LLC, have announced the expansion of its wireless submetering family to include a unique industry offering — three-phase kWh submeters with 15-minute interval data recording capability. Other additions include a module for interfacing the installed base of almost half a million E-Mon D-Mon electric submeters to E-Mon’s wireless automatic meter reading system. The family also includes an assortment of wireless interface modules for bringing water, gas or other electric socket-type meters into the energy management system, making E-Mon’s expanded wireless meter family ideal for virtually any commercial, multi-family, industrial and institutional facility energy-monitoring application.

MEGA Electronics Inc. 0.5 Amp and 1.0Amp switching regulators are ideally suite to replace 78xx linear regulators and are pin compatible. With efficiencies up to 96 per cent very little energy is wasted as heat, eliminating the need for heat sinks and drastically reducing overall weight. In addition to wide input voltage ranges, the regulators include a thermal shutdown, short circuit protection with continuous automatic recovery and low ripple and noise. Normal operating temperatures are from -40C to +85C ambient and +100C case temperatures of the fully encapsulated regulator.
Recommended for use as a stable source of DC output voltage from a wide input DC range such as from batteries. The low weight and space requirement make this an ideal, cost effective alternative to the linear 78xx. As standard stock items the parts are readily available.

PaceControls
LLC is now making its energy efficiency and demand response technology
available in Canada. The PaceController retrofit controllers are proven and
patented to save 10-20 per cent or more on energy costs for heating, air
conditioning and refrigeration and will maintain full end use performance. The
engineers at PaceControls have developed this tool to extend the service life
of older equipment and improve on new equipment by the use of patented
technology to improve efficiency in methods OEMs have not yet agreed to
purchase. Why replace capital equipment when you can retrofit for less. This
extremely successful technology for saving energy is now stepping into the
wireless age by working with Wellspring Wireless, a leader in ZigBee building
automation wireless networks, and the next generation retrofit controller will
be available in Canada this summer.
